- Shiba Inu was created by an anonymous individual or group under the pseudonym “Ryoshi” and launched into the market in August 2020.
Partnerships / Implementation
- In September of 2021, the largest US crypto exchange, Coinbase, listed Shiba Inu on their platform. This caused a 40% rise in the price of the coin and gained the token popularity.
- SHIB has been further propelled through celebrity endorsements like bodybuilder Kai Greene, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Preston Williams, and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins.
Roadmap and Announcements
- Interest in the coin has been renewed as Shiba Inu implements increased token burns to increase scarcity. In total, the team has burned over one billion SHIB since the end of October 2021.
- In early 2020 Shiba Inu Developer annocued that they will be developing the Shibarium, “which is a transitional evolution to the Shiba Ecosystem. This blockchain (L2) runs on top of the Ethereum blockchain, which the SHIB ecosystem tokens (SHIB, LEASH & BONE) utilize. A Layer 2 blockchain provides the benefits of scalability, faster transaction times, lower fees, and an expanded development framework.”
